When Daniel bought the property in 1999 it really was a cabin
in the bush. In the fall of 1999 he started clearing a piece
next to the existing cabin and in four years, built his dream
home which is now the m ain
house. Here, you will enjoy the homemade meals and Heidy will
pamper you with a Massage.
On
the property was a cabin that was built in the early 50's
by a couple from California. We often try to figure out where
they got the idea to build a cabin that was so remote. They
got an architect from the states to design the cabin and hired
local farmers to build it with logs from the area.
In the summer of 2009 we took on the huge project of rebuilding
the cabin. What had been one big living room, two bedrooms,
a kitchen and a bathroom, we converted into three separate
units,
each with a private shower/toilet, wood stove and two twin
beds. One room has a kitchen and if you prefer to cook your
meals by your self, you are welcome to do so.
All
rooms have a spectacular view. Just a few meters from the
lake, with a sandy beach and the phenomenal mountains beyond,
it is the perfect place to come and do nothing. Or if you

There is lots to do if you want, but you do not have to do
anything if you would just like to relax.
Heidy
bakes all the bread by herself and if you stay over the weekend,
you get the chance to  taste
her Swiss Sunday bread (Zopf). Let her know if you have any
allergies or if you do not like certain dishes. She cooks
everything fresh and does not stick to a fixed menu.
Lunch will be a sandwich,
fruit, and a sweet treat and it is packed so that you do not
have to stay at the lodge, you are free to go and explore
the region. Dinner will contain a salad, a main dish and a

We
have great water from the tap. 
Café and
tea is included with the meals. If you wish wine, beer or
liquor, you will have to bring your own.
